Dalgety Bay & Hillend Gala Website

We are pleased to announce that once again Caledonia Travel will be sponsoring the Gala procession.

The Gala King is Aaron Parr and the Gala Queen is Tain Bruce, both from Donibristle Primary School P7.  The Gala Prince is Lachlan Vivers and Gala Princess is Charlotte Moss, both from Dalgety Bay Primary School P1. 
 
The procession will start, as in previous years, from Dalgety Parish Church and is open to all groups within the Bay. The procession proceeds up Regents Way from the Church Car Park, into Harbour Way, up the hill to the roundabout on Harbour Drive, down the hill and into the Sports Centre.

The 2010 theme for the Gala is SCOTLAND.

Each child in the procession will be given a hand waving St Andrews flag to celebrate the theme of SCOTLAND.

Great news! Fife Police Pipe Band have confirmed that they are able to take part in the walking procession this year for the first time.

With all the children taking part in the Football World Cup comes to Dalgety Bay demonstration also walking the procession we are looking at a record number of participants in the procession this year.

So if you are not taking part you and your friends need to be lining the route to see this spectacular start to the Gala Day.

The Gala Committee hopes that everyone will get into the spirit of the Gala Theme SCOTLAND and make 12th June 2010 a memorable day for everyone taking part.
